The friendly staff created a welcoming atmosphere and the thoughtfully designed King Room was a true highlight, featuring a comfortable bed and quiet location. Breakfast was delightful, enhancing the overall experience. the amazing food, including salads, offered great value for money, solidifying its status as a local community hub.

We had a fantastic time exploring the nearby market towns of Grantham and Newark. The relaxed atmosphere at the pub made it easy to unwind. Rachel, who runs the front of house, truly made our stay special, and we loved the excellent selection of beers!

In my wife’s opinion, larger dinner portions would be great for families.

The moment we arrived, we loved how spacious and clean the King Room was. The evening meal we had was absolutely delicious. This place also has a lovely garden where you can relax by the fountain or unwind on the sun loungers. Just a heads up, the noise from the bar above our room was a bit loud, but it didn’t ruin our experience. 😊

I stayed here for one night and loved how beautifully decorated the room was. Being so close to the Parish Church of Saint Peter made it perfect for a lovely stroll through the area. I can't forget my breakfast, as it was absolutely amazing with poached eggs and veggie sides.

We enjoyed our two-night stay in a comfortable King Room. The staff's attentiveness made our dining experience exceptional. the three-course meal was delectable, and the outdoor beer garden was a perfect setting. Highly recommend exploring the real ale options and visiting the local attractions!

we had a fantastik stay at the thorold b&b, the staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. the room was comfy and clean, and we loved the local vibe of the pub. the food was amazin and definetly good value for money, both breakfast and dinner were top notch. the location is great for exploring the area, especially if ur into hiking on the viking way.

the room was a bit noisy at night when the pub was busy but quieted down by 10pm. also, not much to do in the village apart from the pub, so expect to drive out for other sights.

The portion sizes for meals were simply too small!!! The lack of a chef during my visit was a letdown, especially knowing others raved about the menu!!!

The Thorold had a charming atmosphere with a cozy vibe that made our stay enjoyable. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean with a comfy bed. The staff, especially Matthew, were incredibly friendly and attentive, going out of their way to ensure we felt welcome. Breakfast was delightful and set us up for the day perfectly.

Our King Room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, providing a comfortable retreat after exploring the area. The highlight was definitely the dining experience. both breakfast and dinner offered delicious homemade options that were a treat for the palate. While the village is charming, it could use a bit more in terms of activities outside of the pub.
